 (United States)
Dear Chris, Thanx for your response. I looked on the web under that name and found you were right. Chris,if you used one what is the benefit of that over another filet knife or electric knife? The other ? is can you buy them in G.H., I might be coming up this weekend for C.G.days and some fishing!! Thanks again for your help. Big Nate

Re: knives

Nate,

I have one of the smaller versions. I believe it is an 8" blade. The benefits of using this style of knife is it makes it easier to cut through the larger bones of bigger fish. You can use a standard fillet knife and cut the meat off the bones instead. To me this is more time consuming. I have only used an electric knife for walleye. From what I have heard though they burn up pretty quickly when used on salmon. In the Grand Haven area you can pick one up a Limit Out Sports on M-104 heading towards Spring Lake from I-96. Or you can get one at Lakeside Tackle. I know where it is but the mname of the road escapes me.

I hope I've been of some help

Chris E.
