Grand Haven 7-17
 (United States)

July 17, 2007

Fishing continues to be good through the heart of July. Lots of larger kings are being caught as well as occasional steelhead and Lake Trout. The water has warmed a bit as the fish have moved down and are now being found from 40-115 feet down. 10-17 color lead cores are very productive as well as downriggers and divers. Downriggers around 55-115 have been the best early in the morning. Divers have been producing 125-250 back depending on what setting they are on.  Stingray style baits such as Caramel Dolphin, green dolphin, and blue dolphin, Mix veggie, kevorkian glow and the blue machine have all been working well. Dodgers and flies have also been very productive lately. Spin doctors and rapture trolling flies of various colors. The spin-doctors that have been good are the 10-inch chrome and blue, white with emerald green scales, white with light green fish scales, blue bubble, and chrome with green. Rapture trolling flies have very effective such as the blue bubble, atomic glow, no-see-um, hypnotist and the little bride. Fishing has changed a little over the last couple weeks but remains good. The fish are now coming from 70-130 feet of water. Hope this helps catch the big one!! Good Luck .
