Grand Haven Fishing
 (United States)

July 3, 2007

Fishing has been good the past few days as the cold water remains in front of the pier heads. The bite has been early and then slows till late morning. Evening fishing the last few hours before dark is also producing well. Nice size Kings has been being caught from 2 lbs. to 17 pounds as well as a few Coho. The fish are coming 10 to 20 feet down in 25-40 foot of water. The best colors seem to be oranges and greens. Particularly stingray style lures such as chips shanster, gold shanster, tangerine, mix veggie, Dalmatian, Hawg Wild, Carmel Dolphin and Double Orange Crush, all have been working well. Stingers have also been producing well in the same colors. Boats have also been doing well with white coyotes and frosted fern Rapture Trolling Flies. Other flies that have been good are Little Bride, fern and hypnotist Rapture flies. Fishing seems to be fairly consistent for the time of year so now is the time to fill the freezers!!
