Grand Haven Weekend of June 16 & 17
 (N/A)

Fishing was good over the weekend out of Grand Haven. We caught 12 good fish, including an 18 lb King, on Saturday in 55 to 65 feet of water from straight out to  Brucker Street. It was a mixed bag including Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead. The best fishing was in the muddy water or right on the edge of the clean water. The best delivery methods were half to full cores but we did get some diver bites 65' back set on 3 and a few rigger bites down 42'. The best baits were the Michigan Stinger Stingray sized spoons in NBK, Double Orange Crush, and Kevorkian. We also took fish on the white Prochip flasher with a Hitman no-see-um Rapture Fly.

On Sunday we went out to 55 feet of water straight out and trolled south to the top of the flats before turning around. We caught 11 good fish on Sunday but nothing bigger than 12 lbs. It was again a mixed bag including a nice 9 lb Brown Trout, Steelhead, and Salmon. The best delivery methods were 5 and 7 color cores and the rigger down 42'. The best baits were Michigan Stingers in Double Orange Crush, Jelly Bean, and Holly Christmas. The best fly bite was again on the white Prochip flasher and Hitman-no-see-um Rapture fly.

There are some good fish around right now but they will disapear quickly once the water warms this week. Good luck.
