Who is ready for Spring Fishing!?!?!
 (United States)
Just seeing if we can get some more chatter on this discussion board.

How is everyone's winter?

Who is ready for Spring Fishing on the Big Lake?!?!?!?!

What new techniques, electronics, tactics, lures, etc. has everyone added to their arsenal over the winter?

How is/was everyone's ice fishing season? More topics to discuss????

I am ready! Already caught a few nice Steelies at the Grand, but too many guys lined up on the wall, would much rather be on the pier. Any thing going on yet at the pier in GH? Went by on Sunday, but didn't see anyone out there. When are the Browns gonna' start showing up there?

Re: Who is ready for Spring Fishing!?!?!

On Sunday, March 18, I stopped at the launch ramp in Portage, IN. There were 36 trucks and trailers in the parking lot. I talked with a dad and his 12 year-old son when they were pulling the boat out and they had 10 Cohos and Browns. The Cohos were really nice sized, all about 3-6 pounds.

I also know two guys who fished the surf in Port Sheldon on Saturday and they both walked away with 3 nice Browns after only 2 hours of fishing.  There were a lot of ice chunks floating around where they were fishing, but the fish bit good they said.
