Boy, you can sure tell that hunting and other outdoor activites have started because the fishing anglers are pretty slim. Grand Haven and Muskegon have the same report for salmon anglers---Anglers have been fishing waters from 150'-300', but the best water seems to be 200'-260' and downrigger depth is 20'-70'. Orange spoons are still best in the top water, but some blue and greens have been working deeper. Anglers are catching steelhead, kings, lake trout, and a few coho. Some of the steelhead and the kings have been very nice size for this time of the season. Pier fishing at Grand Haven is very slow, since the water around the pierheads is in the high 50's and low 60's, but some are trying for steelhead with spawn. No pier fishing at Muskegon and no perch at either port. Amanda
