Fishing Reports

Grand Haven---Water is very warm and fishing is still tough for salmon anglers, but best water depth is 70'-130' and downrigger depth is 30'-90' down. Copper lines of 400-450 have worked well with white spinnies and green flies. Spoons are still working best. Colors are orange for the high depths and blues and green at lower depths.
Pier anglers are catching sheephead and gobies

Muskegon---Water is very warm here too and fishing is tough too, but best depth is 70'-170' and downrigger depth is 40'-90'. Spinnies/flies combos in green/white worked well. Orange spoons work well when fishing high in the water column and blues and greens when fishing deeper.

FYI---When the water turned cold Tuesday and Wednesday in Grand Haven and Muskegon pier anglers caught kings off the piers and in Muskegon kings were caught in the channel at the Silversides. Of course, this is not the case anymore.
