Fishing Reports

Grand Haven--Boat anglers having been catching salmon in 40'-130' and 220'-240'. Downrigger depth for the deeper water is 45'-85'. 10 & 13 colors of leadcore and 150-300 of copper have also been working.

Spoons are still the baits of choice and still the colors of blues and greens. Baits in close are also spoons, but color is orange. When the water was colder fishing was better and since the water has started to warm fishing is getting tough again.

Pier anglers are catching sheephead, but still able to get alewives for bait.

I had a boat angler try for perch, but no luck.

I have no boat info for Muskegon and no one has been fishing the piers.
