I have sorry reports for both G.Haven and Muskegon--Boat anglers for salmon are REALLY struggling. Salmon are very scattered, so water depth ranges from 80'-250' and downrigger depth has been surface to 100'. Spoons have been baits of choice with orange being used on the surface and blues and greens being used down deeper. Anglers fishing the pier in G.Haven have been able to catch alewives in their cast nets, but no fish to catch. Pier anglers in Muskegon are still jigging for walleye. No perch at either port. So far spring salmon fishing has been real tough. I hope that more salmon will show up in the next week or two! Amanda
