While action has slowed somewhat, fishing off Grand Haven remains very good. Most of the action has come off shore in depths ranging from about 120 feet to as far West as you want to travel. Lake Trout are hitting near bottom on downriggers and wire divers. The lures of choice include the usual combinations of Spin Doctors or small paddles pulling Spin-n-glows or Whirligigs in greens and yellows. Coho action has slowed although a few large fish (up to 12 pounds) have been taken. For Kings, Dreamweaver paddles and flies fished deep continue to take large, mature fish. Our best continues to be a blue edge paddle and a blue bubble fly fished 97 feet down on a downrigger. This rig has consistently taken large fish for us during the past two weeks. Bright UV spoons like the Mixed Veggie, Captain Gary's and Yaeger Bomb have worked well on coppers and divers set from 120 to 200 back. There is still a lot vegetation floating in the Lake from recent flooding rains-check lines frequently. None of our local fish seem to be interested in a salad! Good fishing, Rich
