Fishing Reports

Ok, fishing news from the ports of Grand Haven and Muskegon.

Grand Haven---Pier anglers are using spawn to catch browns, steelhead, and Lake trout. Fish are not being caught everyday. Fishing action is very hit and miss.

Boat anglers are struggling to find perch and get them to bite. East wind has not helped and the mud from the Grand River has made fishing the hole in front of the bathhouse at the state park difficult.
Muskegon---Pier anglers are having a very hard time catching browns and steelhead. They are using spawn. I have not heard of the anglers here using gobies.

I have talked to 1 or 2 boats fishing for trout and no luck, but anglers have been fishing the basin for walleye. I have not been able to interview any because of shift ending.
No perch for Muskegon.

I fished Grand Haven on 4-22 in 66 f.o.w and it took like 5 hrs to catch a limit of nice white belly ,yellow perch. They were very very light biters < felt like your weight was rolling 1 inch on concrete and when you set the hook........ J U M B O ..... I caught fish over 13 inches now thats what Im talkin bought......
