In spite of increases in boating activity because of the Coast Guard Festival, fishing remains good off Grand Haven. Both mature and immature Chinooks and Cohoes are being caught in 30 to 60 fow under low light conditions. White glow plugs in pearl, black dot, double glow and Wonderbread patterns seem to work best with chrome or green taking over after sun-up. Riggers set from 12 to 24 feet down, short lead cores, and high divers out 45 to 60 feet are all taking fish. Later in the day, try 120 to 160 fow with the usual Lake Trout rigs near bottom. Kings are being caught in the mid depths on green or white (Moo-Moo) meat rigs and Steelhead in the top 40 on orange or red spoons. Don't forget to thank a Coast Guardsman if you get the chance. Rich
