Fishing Reports

Mature kings have finally started to arrive.  Best for us was 80 to 130 fow.  While not hot and heavy, all our fish ran from 17 to 20 pounds.  While some fish have been taken early in the A.M. as shallow as 70 fow, the bite there has been short-lived.  Meat rigs on divers, spinnies or paddles and flies as well as some plugs have all taken fish.  Our best was the 10 inch green sparkler spin doctor trailed a green uv meat rig run off a wire diver.  Lake trout continue to be available near bottom on spin-n-glows or whirl-I-gigs fished behind spin doctors or metal dodgers.  A few steelhead have been taken as well.  Forecast east and north winds should cool down the water for this weekend's fishing.  Until then, plan to fish at least 65 feet down.
