Fishing Reports
26
Southerly winds have warmed the water off Grand Haven and this should begin to concentrate the fish. While a few Kings have been caught in the mud, most action has been offshore. Coho and some Kings can be found in 260 fow in the top 40 feet, We also observed increasing numbers of fish in 90 to 120 fow. While not hot and heavy, we caught both Kings and Steelhead in this band. Spoons have been best with both regular and magnum sizes catching fish on riggers, lead cores and coppers. Best colors were yellows and greens on bright days and blues when cloudy. With the full moon, the bite has been better in late mornings.
