Salmon fishing is good, but difficult because fish factors are changing daily. Water temperatures seem to have a big effect on kings right now. Grand Haven--110-165FOW and from 20' to the bottom. Spoons are used high, while spinnies/flies and meat rigs are deeper. Colors for spoons are blue, green, and purple when cloudy. Meat rigs are purple. White with green dot spinnies. Muskegon--Kings are in 70-150FOW. Spoons high with colors of blue, green, and purple. There is a good meat rig bite in 150' 40'-70' down on meat rigs. 200 coppers and 300ft leadcore are working also. Steelhead are out to 280FOW and orange spoons high have worked for them. Pier fishing is slow in GH, but alewives are being caught in cast nets and used for bait. The alewives have been large spwaning size.
