Fishing Reports

While cold water and strong winds continue to be an issue, there are good fish to be caught when Mother Nature cooperates.  The best action this past week has been in 80 to 170 fow. Location from north to south have been changing daily with the weather so straight out seems to be a good starting place.  Because of currents, an east/west troll has generally been most productive.  Kings of varying sizes, steelhead and large lake trout are all available.  We caught mature (12 to 15) pound kings from 87 feet down with meat rigs up to a three color lead core.  Greens were most productive deep while oranges worked best in the top forty.  our most consistent action came on the 3 and seven color leads with the DW fireball on the 3 and the DW UV Mixed Veggie on the 7.  The divers at 100 set on 3 with bright lures were also successful.  Lack of fishing effort has made current reports difficult.  Get out and enjoy the Lake, have fun, and catch a few nice fish.  Before you realize, we'll be dusting off the camo and putting away the boat once more.  Rich
