Fishing Reports
29

This will be my last fishing report for the season.

Still my report is very slim, but steelhead fishing in G.Haven has been better the last couple of days.
Pier and shore anglers in G.Haven have had luck catching steelhead.  They have been using spawn, but yesterday an angler did catch a steelhead with shrimp. Menominee has been hit and miss off the piers and I have not heard of any whitefish being  caught yet.
I have heard that boat anglers have caught kings and steelhead in 60-80 FOW, but I have not interviewed them myself and this info is from last week.
I have interviewed pier anglers in Muskegon, but the anglers have been unsuccessful for steelhead.  They are using spawn as bait.
I have heard that steelhead have been caught while trolling around the pierheads.  I did interview a boat that  tried this and they used stickbaits  (Rapalas), but the anglers had no luck.
Remember that the ramps have been pulled at the Municipal Launch Ramp on Harbor Island, Grand Haven.
