Fishing Reports
22

The good news is that the past week has provided us with our best fishing since 2012. Mostly Kings in the 8 to 18 pound range have provided the action and there has been plenty of that.  A few Cohoes, Lake Trout and Steelhead have added to the fun.  Green Spin Doctors like the Fat Nancy, Live Wire and Seneca Special with green flies like Pickled Sunshine, Green Bubbles and Seaweed have all been very effective.  In fact, almost any green spinnie and green fly combination have caught fish.  Now for the bad news.  As the week progressed, the water has warmed significantly and by Thursday, in 80 fow, the temperature was 68 degrees from top to bottom.  Consequently, the fish have gradually moved out and down.  As a result, by late week, most fish were found outside 120 fow and down from 80 to 130 feet.  Riggers set from 75 to 120 feet down along with 250 to 450 coppers and divers back 180 to 240 feet have all taken fish.  Fish can be found in bands from 120 to 240.  Also, FYI I received a radio report of tackle lost to an unmarked net at about N43, 13 in about 120 fow.  This report is unconfirmed.
