Fishing Reports
For the ports of Grand Haven and Muskegon
As of yet, both ports have not had a huge run of salmon. Seems like fish are just trickling in.

Grand Haven---Salmon anglers are fishing 100-150ft and downrigger is 30-60 down. White paddles and blue fies down deep, while blue and orange spoons on shallow copper and leadcores. White paddles are also being ran on divers. Some boats are also fishing the pierheads and they are trolling J-plugs in the colors of white, pearl and yellows.
I'm not sure about pier fishing, since I have been in Muskegon these last 2 days, but I would assume that fish are being caught if the anglers can get bait.

Muskegon--Salmon anglers also have gone deep ( same as GH) and caught steelhead out there. Anglers are also trolling the pierheads and channel using J-Plugs or Atomics in the colors of white, pearl, and a "Wonderbread" pattern. Pier anglers are casting orange spoons or jigging and catching salmon. Anglers are also jigging for salmon in Muskegon Lake and doing well by the sand docks.
