Salmon Fishing at Grand Haven and Muskegon has slowed from week to week. Anglers are finding more fish north of Muskegon.
Grand Haven - Anglers are finding that the salmon are far and few between. Water depth ranges from 80-200ft and downrigger depth is 40-80ft. 150 and 225 copperline has been working well. Anglers are running orange spoons high and blue, green, and yellow deeper. It has not been a good fly bite.
Pier anglers are still able to get alewives when using a cast net, but no slamon or perch around.
Muskegon - Anglers are having a little better luck here. Water depth is 80-170ft and downrigger depth is 40-130ft. Best water depth seems to be 80-140ft. Spoons are also working best in blues and greens. Also spoons that are "UV" are working better than regular.
No perch.
