Grand Haven---Pier fishing has really slowed to snail pace and nonexistent. Anglers have been trying for steelhead and perch. Pier anglers are using shrimp on a bobber and alewives (if they can still be caught)...

The fish are still around and biting pretty good. The biggest challenge is locating them this week as good catches have been had anywhere from 100 to 300 feet of water...

G.Haven---Pier anglers are still catching alewives in cast nets,but no salmon or steelhead are around the piers to catch. What is being caught is sheephead. One angler the other day caught 52 sheephead!
