2008 GRAND HAVEN STEELHEADERS
YEARLONG FISHING CONTEST
CONTEST SPECIES:
1. CHINOOK SALMON, 2. COHO SALMON 3.STEELHEAD, 4. BROWN TROUT, 5. LAKE TROUT 6. WALLEYE 7. CATFISH, 8. SHEEPSHEAD
ELIGIBILITY:
Open
to any angler holding a current Michigan Fishing License. To be
eligible for weigh-in, the fish must be caught by a registered
contestant .
REGISTRATION:
The registration fee shall be
$10.00 per family . This includes husband wife, and minor children
living in your house hold. The contestants are considered entered upon
receipt of the registration fee and entry form. Fee is payable by mail
to the contest chairman. Make checks payable to the Grand Haven
Steelheaders. Fill out the registration form completely and mail it,
with the fee, to the contest chairman.

WEIGH IN:
Fish
must be weighed on a designated scale. The entry form must be filled
out completely. The entry form must be presented by the contestant to
the contest chairman, by mail or in person, NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS
FROM THE CATCH DATE. Scales are located at American Tackle in Holland,
Lake View Tackle in Grand Haven, Limit Out Sports in Spring Lake, Village Fish Market in Spring Lake and West Marine in Grand Haven.
Emergency weigh in can be scheduled by phone with Terry Ankelen at

DATES:
The contest shall begin on Dec. 17, 2007 and end Nov. 30, 2008. Awards will be presented at the annual Christmas Party.
SCORING:
All fish will be judged by weight only.
FISHING AREA:
All Michigan waters of Lake Michigan, Lake Michigan drowned river mouths and inland waters of Michigan
AWARDS:
Trophies
will be awarded in each of the categories in numerical sequence. The
number of places will be determined by registration in the contest.
No more than one trophy will be awarded to one contestant. The
presentations will take place at the Steelheaders Annual Christmas Party
STANDINGS:
An up to date leader list will be published in the Open Channel Newsletter and the web site.
All
fish must be caught in accordance with current Michigan law and the
contest rules. The Grand Haven Steelheaders Board of Directors shall
rule upon any conflict arising from this contest The Boards ruling
shall be final.
